Fallen from the Nest by NiGHTmaren-Cosplay Fallen from the Nest by NiGHTmaren-Cosplay
I wore Kraehe again to Megacon this past weekend, with a few additions (added some beautiful rhinestones to the costume). I shot with Ken AD and this is the first of the set to be available. We found this steel architecture statue of an eagle's nest and that is what I'm clinging onto. I think it works beautifully for Kraehe's character and her story of being the raven's daughter and being deceived her entire life. I was incredibly sick the entire weekend, so I hope it doesn't show too much on my face in these photos lol. I was trying my best! I also took Best in Show with this costume, which was a a pleasant surprise considering all the wonderful costumes that had entered. Everyone did a fantastic job.

There will be more photos from this new set to come in the coming weeks. More Kraehe spam? Yes, of course! AND also, I hope to have a tutu tutorial going shortly, as well, as I begin to embark on my next tutu for Rue's Aurora wedding tutu.

I watched the cosplay contest with :iconmotoko-sama:(Nisha) and we were cheering so hard for you when you won. I did ballet for six years so when I saw your amazing costume I was completely in love (and then I heard all of the work you put in to make it and I fell out of my chair) You look absolutely perfect and have inspired me to tackle a tutu of my own. So when you do a tutorial I'll be first in line ;).

So beautiful. That's all I can say.

Thanks! :) A tutu is a very time consuming project, but not too difficult once you get into the swing of things. The first row of pleats is always the hardest. I'm going to get some more diamond net since I decided for this next tutu I want to use more than one color (and I wanted to dull the yellow I got a bit so I'm using ivory mixed in) but once that is here I'm going to start working on it. And getting pics together for the tutorial.

Well I'm totally psyched to see what you do! Seriously, I've become a major fan :) And a diamond tutu? What could be better than that?! Now I need to scrounge up as much birthday money that I can and create some more cosplays of my own for Metrocon~ I just need some ideas... Maybe there's a tutu of my own in the future!

Diamond net is what is used to make a tutu. :) Tulle is too soft, it's useable only if you add in extra rows, but not recommended and probably not useable for a pancake tutu (one that sticks out like mine).

Oh, you're such a genious! Obviously I need to put in some research. =P Well, I still want to tackle one myself. And thanks for talking with me. Most people just ignore my crazy costuming rants. Next time I see you at a con I need to actually come up and say hi!
