Dhampir by NiGHTmaren-Cosplay Dhampir by NiGHTmaren-Cosplay
I like this shot because it shows off the cape that I spent so much time on! :) Alot of photos don't show it from the front. I based the costume mostly off of the manga art by Saiko Takaki, with added elements to make the costume more decorative. The triangles were appliqued to the bottom of the cape and satin stitched (embroidered) around with thread by machine. I added the triangles not just to add something to the cape, but also because Amano loves to use triangles in his artwork for D, so I figured it fitted. The costume was made by me, except for the hat brim and sword which were made by my boyfriend Chris, who is the one to wear the costume. Sword not pictured because we weren't able to fly out to Cali with it at the time.

Also, I'm planning an Amano Doris costume, which will go with this one once we re-vamp it (no pun intended!) to have more accessories and details.

You're re-vamping D? And you're making Amano Doris?! AGGGGH let me know when because I totally want to cosplay Mia from Twin-Shadowed Knight based on Amano's artwork and I'd love some VHD Amano peeps to cosplay with!!!

Yes, the cape is very nice! I like how the triangles are different sizes and colours. ^_^

Another fabulous shot that really shows off the cape. Love the triangles.
